In fact, the SoundField SP451 Surround Processor which is a dedicated B-Format to 5.1 surround converter will make the ST350 the best 5.1 location microphone on the market. Use the ST350 and SP451 together (you would need a battery pack or some other AC source for the SP451) to record surround sound on the spot, or record the 4 channels of B Format audio for later editing through the SP451.
